It is time that we lose the weight and take back the self esteem that we lost along the way. Some of us gained the weight after we had a baby and we never had the time to focus on getting rid of it. Others of us have an eating problem and find it hard for us to stop the cravings or we eat when we are emotional. Either way it is a big problem and it can hurt out health.

There are a number of ways that you can use when trying to drop the pounds. The first rule of thumb is to know what foods we will have to eat and what type of foods that we are going to have to stay far away from. However, this is only a small part of it all. You have to make sure that you understand what type of calorie burn you need to have and not just the amount you take out of your diet.

In order to burn the fat and calories you will need to have to burn it all away. Lifting weights is a good thing – but it is not going to provide enough of a burn. This is mainly used to build muscle rather than burn away the fat. This is not always going to help with dropping the pounds.

Instead you will need to focus on cardio work outs. The best thing to be able to use is the treadmill. This machine is so easy to use and you will have the ability to control the speed that you will be running at and the incline that you wish to travel. Both of these features are really going to help burn the most calories.

In order to make the most difference you are going to have to use the electric or manual treadmill between 30 to 45 minutes every day. However, after about a week you will either want to step up the speed you are going at or the amount of time that you will have to be using it for. Just make sure that you understand how much of a burn you will need for your body type.
