Losing weight is never an easy thing for most of us to be able to do. Trying to lose anywhere between 10 to 80 pounds requires a great deal of self control. Some of us have the innate ability to stay on track and are willing to do whatever it takes. Than there are others who will fall off wagon early on from a number of problems.

One of the biggest problems that people have with most types of weight loss plans is the bland foods that they are eating. For some reason when we think of losing the pounds we think that we are forced to eat like rabbits and use nothing to flavor the foods. While it is important to stay away from a lot of the foods that you love like hamburgers and potato chips it does not mean that the food has to have no flavor.

This is when you need to understand what foods are good for you and what makes them healthy. Oil is good to cook with when you use coconut or virgin olive oil. This is great for your body in moderation and perfect to cook with. You could use this when trying to cook fish in your skillet. Just place the fish and a teaspoon of olive oil in the pan. Than sprinkle the fish with lemon juice and fresh herbs.

When trying to cook veggies you could have them raw and dip them in something that is fat free and very low in fat. Balsamic vinaigrette is great to use and is packed with flavor. You could even try to make your own with a little bit of olive oil and some fresh herbs. You have to experiment and be creative.

Do you love fresh fruit? Bananas are a great food to have when you are hungry after dinner and need to fill up. Simply cut it into small pieces and drizzle a small amount of honey over it. That way you are able to flavor your healthy food without packing on the calories.
