When the summer arrives it brings with it the warm weather, the beautiful flowers, and our friends who simply want to enjoy good company and delicious food. What better way to do all of this than to throw a party in your back yard. It is time to go out into the fresh air and get to know the people that you work with or go to Church with.

The first thing that you need to do is make sure that you have the food that will feed them all. When in doubt it is always a great idea to have barbecue. Ask your hubby to grill out some hamburgers and hotdogs. This is easy to make and is not going to cost you a fortune. Plus it is hard to find someone who does not love it.

Make sure that you have the right sides for it all. Lay out some fresh fruits and vegetables, dip, potato salad, and of course all of the right drinks. You do not want anything too heavy or people are going to get uncomfortable as they finish eating. Make sure to have a variety of sodas, lemonade, sweet tea, and of course plenty of water.

For the kids you are going to have to provide them with some games that will keep them occupied. That way all of the adults will have a chance to mingle and get to know each other. Try to set up a trampoline, swing set, or maybe a slip and slide. This will keep the kids having fun and cooled off.

It is going to be so hot so that means that you will need to find a way to keep everyone cooled off. There are a number of things that you could do. First you could set up a few tables and have an umbrella over them. The easiest thing to do would be to set up a garden party canopy. These are quite large and you can even decorate it and put up bug catchers.
