People will use a combi boiler inside of a small home that usually only has one bathroom or inside of an apartment. These are much smaller than the average unit and thus use fewer parts. That is what makes them more efficient and cheaper than any other unit that is on the market. However, this does not always ensure that it will be cheap enough for your budget.

Before you are able to buy the unit you need to make sure that you are going to get one that is the proper size. If you buy one that is too large than you run the risk of wasting heat and energy. If you buy one that is too small than you will waste energy and money on because it will be running the whole day.

When you are trying to size a boiler you need to know the amount of heat that is lost inside of the space. This is in contrast to measuring the amount of square footage that the space holds. The heat can be lost in several different ways.

The first thing that people usually look for is the type of insulation that is used in the walls and also in the ceilings. Some types are able to capture the heat while others will lose it quickly. Make sure you also know how much is inside of the home.

Another thing that you need to look at is the amount of windows that is inside of the home and how they are made. Again, some windows are designed to keep heat from escaping and others are absolutely no good against it.

There are also other things that you will need to think about when learning how to size combi boilers. This will include the type of ceilings that you have and whether or not you have a fireplace inside of the home.
