There are a number of days in our live that we will remember forever. One that resides on the top of our list for many years is the wedding day. As a woman I know that I was thoroughly excited to be married to the man of my dreams. At the time we couldn’t do a big ceremony because there just wasn’t the money for it. However, that hasn’t stopped us from planning our 5th anniversary reception!
The one thing I regret the most about having such a simple ceremony was not being able to go shopping for a true wedding dress. Now is the time that I can make up for that. Go to various stores and try on a variety of styles. Bring someone with you who can take pictures and give you an honest opinion of how you look in it.
You will also need to figure out what colors you will use. This will help you to know what the bridesmaids will be wearing. Try to pick a style that all the girls can pull off.
The food is actually the easiest part of the whole thing. To save money – but to keep things elegant I will have a buffet style reception. However, there will be tables scattered throughout the hall for people to sit down. There they can enjoy finger sandwiches, vegetables, fruit, cheese platters, and a whole assortment of other delicious foods.
The hardest part of it all is decided what type of wedding centerpieces to use and how I would decorate the tables. I chose to use candles and white tablecloths. These go great together and give an elegant appearance to every little piece that you are using. Just make sure that you stay true to the color scheme.
