In this economy many auto makers are having a challenging time trying to push out enough stock during the year. One that is able to get by with little trouble is Lamborghini. For years they have come out with models that are both exotic and rare. This is appealing to anybody who has the ability to afford to spend over $100,000.

The all new 2011 LP 570-4 Superleggera is the newest supercar to be released and it is in all probability the best Gallardo that they have made to date. In order for it to be the best it needs to be lighter than all the other models to date. In true fashion it managed to lose 154 pounds by utilizing carbon fiber, polycarbonate, and an all aluminum body shell. This brings it in at 2,954 pounds.

The loss in weight would be futile if they did not step-up the engine power and output ability. The original Superleggera was designed with a 5.0 liter V10 that had the ability to thrust out 530 horsepower. The 2011 model has been made with a direct injected 5.2 liter that forces out 570 horsepower and 398 pound feet of torque. With this amount of power it can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and is given a top speed of 202 mph.

A serious supercar has two crucial attributes; power and luxury. This is part of what works to make them so unusual and rare treasures to see driving by on the road. The new Gallardo proves that it has enough power and the interior is more than luxurious. Carbon fiber is used on the center tunnel cover door panels and gear level. The alcantara upholstery is used all throughout the cabin and all over the seats.

Other characteristics that Lamborghini threw in include; sports air conditioner, rear camera, satellite navigation system, and electric windows. No price has been listed at this time.
