It used to be that if you wanted to record any of your favorite songs you had to pop in a cassette tape to your radio and make sure to press the record button. It seemed simple enough and it gave you the chance to listen to your favorite song over and over again. But that was then and this is now.

The cassette tape is all but extinct now that the CD has become so popular. It is almost impossible to find a player that uses them and even if you do who would want to. CDs are easier to use and they provide people with better sound quality that is hard to find anywhere else. Unfortunately recording music onto a CD is not as easy as it used to be.

In order to do this you need to purchase a digital audio CD recorder. These are designed for the purpose of recording only. You can no longer use your average radio player to do this. Perhaps these were made not only to use a CD to put your music but also to keep people from trying to steal songs all the time rather then just buying the album they are on.

Purchasing one of these recorders can be expensive and tricky if you do not do your homework. This technology is still fairly new – but still there are dozens of companies that can provide them for you. The best thing you can do is read reviews on the top model and brands.

Also visit your local electronic store and ask them questions concerning it. Ask them how easy they are to use, the quality they provide, and the other products you might need. Make sure that the recorder you purchase will allow you to listen to that same CD in your computer, car, or your average stereo player.
