School is the place that we send our children to when we want them to learn important facts concerning countless subjects. These subjects teach them how to calculate things, world history, how to speak, and the world of science. But as time goes by it seems that more and more restrictions are being placed on certain subjects trying to limit what they know.

One of the most controversial subjects in the classroom is the idea of Intelligent Design. This is the belief that the world began through a higher being. The most common ID that is taught is Creationism – which states that God created the world and everything in it in only seven days. While this belief is taught in many Christian schools some of the public schools and their science teachers refuse to accept or even teach it.

Some people believe that Creationism is a part of religion and not science and therefore not relevant. Instead they teach Evolution because this is proved through the use of science and possible findings. Though the idea of Evolution has never been fully approved it is still a common belief among people.

However, there are some people who are pushing that both Creationism and Evolution be taught in schools so that children can learn both sides and decide for themselves what they believe to be true. While some may scoff at this and once again demand that religion be set a part from them it is a wise move to be able to give them a choice.

In order to truly understand controversial things such as this they have to be taught both sides. They can study on their own and in their classrooms the differences and choose what they want to believe. Maybe in the future all school will truly be able to teach about Evolution and Intelligent Design in schools.
